DUNEDIN COMMERCIAL.
The Daily Times of the 20fch has the following on the flour market : — " fflour.— The market has been quite unsettled to-day, in consequence of the reports in circulation that -we are about to receive a considerable accession to our stocks from shipments now on the way from California. That we are likely to receive one or two cargoes of Californian flour, and probably one of Chilian, is not unlikely — nay, rather certain ; but why that should occasion. -any uneasiness to holders now is difficult to imagine^ inasmuch as our supplies from Adelaide direct,; for the "remainder of the season, must noyr prove; very limited; and with a consumption in the: PrOTince, of 120 and ISO tons a-weekj it Is evident we must look to some other 'market to carry us over the next six months— in 'this we consider it, iB rather a fortunate thing that we have these: Caiifornian and Chilian shipments to look forward; to. At the auction rooms, 40 tonß of Adelaide; flour were sold' at £29 10s. ; and at another, a small lot of 10 ton 9 (damaged) fetched £28 155.: net cash." ' ' ■ ! ' ■> •' ' "' "
