Tho telegrapliic despatch to the Argus, dated 20th inst., has the following on the Sydney markets : — " Teas are being taken up at full prioes by some of the principal storekeepers. Sales to the extent of about £30,000 worth are reported. " Sugars are not moving so freely. Holders are firmer since the arrival of the mail. Flour is Belling in trade parcels. There is a little moro inquiry for this commodity, but prices are without alteration. " Brandy is firm, prices ruling from 9s. bd. upwards. Stocks of Martell's and Hennessy's aro light, but of second brands stocks are abundant. Rum is without alteration. Geneva is quoted by the principal holders at 10s. 6d. for best brands ; large quantities of common brands are offering at 7s. 6d. There is a little moro inquiry after wines, but sales effected are still at unremunerative prices. A parcel of champagne and other fine wines was sold by auction to-day at a great sacrifice. Rice is held for £21. Offers of this figure are made for three cargoes. Coffee is firm; plantation is quoted at Is., and Manilla at lOd. Stocks of each are light. " The schooner Ewald, from Circular Head to Sydney, was wrecked ou the 12th inst., sixteen miles south of Ulldalla. All hands were saved. " The farmers hi the Western Districtaro sowing a great breadth of wheat this season."
