AUCKLAND COMMERCIAL.
Tho New Zeatander of 2Sth May, says -. — " A new Bank haa just been started, and will shortly commence business, to be called tho Bank of Auckland, capital £100,000 (with power to in- j orease), hi 10,000 shares of £10 each. The Bank has originated from tho shareholder's of the late contemplated Loan aud Trust Society, who, after frequent meetings,- resolved to increase then" capital, aud form a local Provincial bank. From tho inllucnce, wealth, position, and business abilities of the promoters, its success is undoubted. A provisional committee has been appointed, and a prospectus will be issued hi a few dsys ;. it is contemplated to bring enly a portion of the shares into tho market at present, sufficient capital being promised, if not already in hand, to start with. The unparalleled success of the Bank of New Zealand, has no doubt been an incentivo to commence the Bank of Auckland." 4.
