The J. Gr. Ward Farmers’ Association report having held their regular fortnightly stock sale at the Invercargill yards on Monday on account of the A. and P. Show fallingon the regular day. The attendance was small and the sale dull throughout. The entry comprised 631 fat and 56=3 store sheep 72 fat and 151 store cattle. Of these we entered 44 fat and 131 store cattle, 328 store and 69 fat sheep and a few pens in all classes we passed unsold. Following are the prices realized for some of the lots ; Fat Cattle—2 pens at LlO, lat LlO 5,2 at L 9 ss, L 9 2s 6d and down to L 7 17s 6d for best, while light and inferior brought L 5 to L 6 10s. Store Cattle— Bullocks up to L 5 10s ; yearlings, 28s to 32s ; good dairy cows, L6toL 7 7s 61; dry cows from L 3 10s to L 5. Sheep, l —Pat lambs (medium weights) up to 9s Id ; small, 6s 3d ; shorn wethers and ewes, Ss to 9s Cd : hoggets in the wool, Ss 6d to 10s.
