At the last meeting of the Town Board Dr Hendry w r as appointed health officer for the Town District, and the Board recommended him to the Colonial Secretary for the position of public vaccinator for the Town District.—Mr Stewart (of Orepuki) asked permission to carry a race from Fellmongery Creek, along the bank of the river, to the site of the present gold-digging operations. Referred to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, as part of the race would not be] in the Town District.
