The Farmers’ Alliance and Supply Qo. of New Zealand, Ltd., report as follows: Sheeps—At the various yards during the week the entry has been fairly large, and we are happy to report a firmer tone in prices all round. At the Winton Stock sale last Thursday, as the sale progressed, the prices were higher. Hoggets, which mostly composed the entry, sold at from 12s to 15s for good, well grown sorts, while small sold at 8s 6d to 11s. Fat wethers and ewes sold at from 13s to 18s. Sheepskins—At our sale on Monday we offered a large catalogue, and prices were decidedly firmer, but not quotably higher. We cleared every line at late quotations. Rabbits kins sold at from 12fd to 14d for best springs, etc; others 7id to BJ-d per lb.
Fat sold at from 12s to 14s 9d, with good demind. Tallow —Market firm at from 17s to 19s per cwt. for best; mixed, 14s to 16s. Hides—Unchanged.
