DUNEDIN MARKETS.

Messrs [Reynolds and 00., report:— Grass Seeds. — Stocks of grasses are not heavy, but we do not expect any material rise in prices. Ryegrass is only receiving little attention, but prices remain steady—viz.: Extra prime, 4s 6d; prime machinedressed, 4s to 4s 3d; medium, from 3s 9d per bushel. Cocksfoot remains quiet, although quotations are firm at—for best dressed, 4|d; medium, 4d to 4-1. Clovers are selling more freely, and superior qualities command good prices and are quickly bought up. Wheat.—A few small lines have changed hands locally, but the market is very dull. Fowl feed is in good demand. Prime velvet and Tuscan is worth 2s 9d to 2s lid; good medium, 2s 8d to 2s 9d ; fowl feed, up to 2s 7d. Oats. —Prices remain steady, although the tendency is for a slight fall; but we do not fear their going back, as stocks are being reduced daily and are now becoming very light. If an outside market draws upon us for ever so little prices will commence to go up again, but at present very little demand exists for shipment; consequently the market is weak. Locally a fair demand exists, but buyers are only as they require them. We quote : Prime milling and feed, 2s to 2s Id; good feed, Is lid to Is ll^d; ordinary, Is lOd to Is 10 jd. Potatoes.—These still remain steady, and the demand fully equals supplies. Prime Derwents are bringing from from L 5 to L 5 2s 6d, ordinary, L 4 10 to L 4 15s.
