SKIN REPORT.
The Alliance Supply Co. of N.Z., reports on the Market as follows : Sheepskins. —At our weekly sale we disposed of some choice'lines, Half-breds, full woolcd (sound pelted), brought sid per lb; do crossbreds, up to s id; fallen skins (unsound pelts) 4f d ; pelts, Is Id to 2s Bd, with brisk demand. Babbitskins. —All rabbitskins offered sold at very full values. We quote: —Small and half-grown, 2-id to sd; summers, 7d to 8d; clear backs (autumns), 9d to Is per lb ; other sorts in proportion. Horsehair, Is per lb. Hides.- —Very poor selection offered. Slippy brought up to lid per lb. We quote good sound average weights, lid to If d. Tallow is worth up to 18s 3d per cwt ; rough fat from 12s to 14s 9d ; and best caul up to 15s. , Yery good demand at present. Advices from London state that owing to the short supply of lard from America, all classes of fat have advanced in that market.
