During the week-end Whibley and Jones,. holders of the Stansell Feathers, successfully defended a challenge from Hudson and Mark.

During the next ten days local bowlers will have ample opportunity of competing for various trophies. On Wednesday a rink is wanted to contest the Takaro Cup on the Manawatu green; on the 20th two rinks are required for the Ainslie Shield game on the same o-reen; and players are wanted to meet either Foxton or Levin on Saturday. A rink is also required to challenge for the Man3on and Barr Cup.
