PRAYER BOOK PROTEST IN CATHEDRAL.

THREE MEN ARE EJECTED. (“Sun” Special.) LONDON, Sunday. Three men Avere ejected from Truro Cathedral during celebration of Holy Communion, following a noisy protest against the use of the 1928 Prayer Book, which the House of Conimons rejected. The Bishop of Truro (Dr. Frere), Avas saying the Prayer of Consecration A\ r hen the men walked to the chancel steps.. One, John* Henry Duckham, shouted: “God Save the King” and began loudly to read a protest against the Prayer Book. A verger hurried up, look the paper, and* tried to remove Duckham from the chancel. The tAA'o others, brothers named Eoavlci', thereupon began to read the protest. CANON JOINS IN. Canon SedgAvick came to the verger’s assistance, and the three men Avere re-moA’-ed from the chancel, shouting and protesting that the service Avas illegal and calling upon others in the congregation to assist them. Another man called out: “I may inform you, my Lord Bishop, that the Prime Minister said that the Labour Party won’t stand monkeying. Neither will an Englishman stand monkeying monkery in this cathedral.” The protesters Anally were hustled out. The Bishop continued the service throughout the hubbub.
