MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
LEVIN SITTING. The monthly sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Levin was held on Thursday, before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M. in the case of the' police versus Patrick Barry, who was charged with hav : ing negligently driven a motor car on the Levin-Foxton Road on September 4th, the defendant asked for an adjournment, stating that his solicitor, Mr O’Leary, was not able to attend this sitting" of the Court. The police did not object, and* the case was adjourned until November 21st. UNDEFENDED .CIVIL CASES.
Judgment was given for the plaintiffs for the amounts named in the following undefended civil cases: —Albert James Bradley v. J. C. Bray, £7, costs £1 12s 6d; T. H. Johnson v. Minima Patu, £5 4s 7d, costs £1 15s 6d; W. D. Duff v. A. E. Johnson, £l3 18s 6d, costs £2 16s; E. E. Why man v. J. Kelleher, £4 Is sd, costs £1 6s 6d; same v. Pat Nepia, £5 14s 2d, costs £2 19s 6d; W. J. Pearce v. A. P. Bignal, £2 15s, costs £1 4s 6d; J. Walls v. Moses Nicholson, £2B 13s lid, costs £4 10s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Orders.on'judgment summonses were made as follows: —T. McDonald to pay Alfa Laval Separator Co., Ltd., £4 17s 3d forthwith, in default five days; Tame Timi Patuaka to pay Lewis Rattenbury £4 14s 6d forthwith, in default five days; William Bailey to pay C. S. Williams £2 5s 6d at the rate of 10s a month, in default three days; S. Stilwell to pay Barnc-t Glass Rubber Co., Ltd., £l3 ll s 6d at the rate of £2 a month, in default 14 days; Ngarori Ivingi to pay F. Lowe and Sons £2 lls forthwith, in default three days.
