Heating and iron points 3047 2214 Ranges 401 2520 Water-heaters ' GSO 429 iNo. of consumers— Connected 3095 Applications ...... 3151 Total connected k.w. .. 8847 During the past month 44 applications from new consumers and 33 applications for extensions to existing installations were received, comprising 10 ranges, <2l water-heaters, 29 milking, and separating motors, representing 22 milking sheds, and two small industrial .motors. Thirty-two new consumers and 20 extensions were connected, comprising 4 ranges, 14 waterheaters, 13 milking sheds with 17 motors, and 3 industrial motors.

The Chairman (Mr G. A. Monk) commented that the number of new consumers and extensions must be very gratifying to the Board. The recurrence of this new business would ultimately place the Board in a position where it would be able to reduce its rates.
