GOLF.

SHANNON v. FOXTON. The annual match between the Foxton and Shannon Clubs, was played at Foxton on Saturday afternoon. The weather Avas ideal for golf, and the course in good order. The match which was keenly contested throughout, ended in a draw, each side winning eight games, one game being halved. A very appetising afternoon tea was provided by the Foxton ladies, who were rewarded with three hearty cheers. Details of play, Foxton players mentioned first: —

Neylon beat Miss J. Good Avin. Miss Bowe beat Mrs Cronqucst. Mrs Moore beat Miss P. Saxon. Mrs Stanley beat Miss Easton. -

Members are reminded, that the Tombstone match will be played next Saturday afternoon. Every member taking part in the match must provide a suitable "epitaph."
