MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
MAJOR BUSINESS ADJOURNED. The monthly sitting of the Magistrate's Court""in Levin had been fixed for Thursday, but owing to sickness Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., was unable to at tend. The magisterial business was adjourned for a month, and minor undefended cases and a remand were dealt Avith by Messrs T. Brown and P. W. Goldsmith, J.'sP. Judgment for the plaintiffs, for the amounts named, were entered in the following undefended cases:—Mrs S. Parsons v. Hector McDonald, £9 9s, costs £1 10s 6d; S. H. Bevan and Co. v. A. Rogers, 12 s 6d, costs 8s;. Hugh.E. Webb v. Chappie McDonald, £1 9s 6d, costs 17s; S. H. Bevan and Co. v. W. £4 Is 9d, costs £1 0s Cd; Cameron Bros. v. Don Raine, £2, costs £1 3s (id; same v. C Hutton, £.> 12 s fad, costs £1 12s 6d. On a- charge of disobedience of a maintenance "order, the arrears g'.ue to October Bth, 1928, being £42 ss, Herbert Alfred Clark was remanded to appear at Dunedin on July 20th.
