HARVEST FESTIVAL.
—- AT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. The harvest festival services in the Presbyterian Church were held on Sunday and were very well attended both morning and evening. ihe church was very attractively decorated by the ladies of the Guild, and very clearly suggested the bountiful blessing of God and t£e deep mystery of nature and those laws which harmonise to the labours of mankind. As we 'looked upon those fruits and flowers, we felt deeply the co-partnership of God and man in their production. The subjects chosen by the Rev. R. Williamson were very appropriate and made clear the message of which these ■temporal fruits were but the shadow. The call of man to the higher realm of spiritual mindedness to the realisation of the truth that man is more bv far than man if he be true to his God.
On Monday night the church assumed a new role, the goods being removed to the tent for sale, yet the impression was still left in the church by the artistic floral decorations. After the sale a social evening was spent which was under the very 1 able management of Miss Agnes Aim. Items were given by Miss Jeau Brown, a song; Miss Blackwood, a recitation; Miss Jean Hill, a recitation; JMiss Agnes Aim, a song; Mr Marriott, club swinging.
