SHANNON SPORTS.

CLOSING OF NOMINATIONS. Athletes who intend to compete at the Shannon Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club's sports on Saturday, March 9th, are notified in this issue that nominations for all events close with the secretary, on Saturday, March 2nd. A good programme of field, running and cycling events has been drawn up and from enquiries received the committee anticipate receiving large entries. Since the last meeting the cycle track has been considerably improved and riders should have no fault to find. Cycle events for boys and girls have been added to the programme this year and judging by the number of local boys training on the Domain of an evening, these events are going to be a big draw. Programmes will be forwarded on application to the secretary, Mr T. Kohika.
