W. Trask was ordered to pay Richard Bevan £l4 15s 6d, and costs £1 Is on or before March 21st, in default 14 days. 11. Bills Avas ordered to pay W. G. Benning £7 5s 3d in instalments of £3 a month, in default seven days. DEFENCE CASE. The Defence Department proceeded against W. R. Loavo, claiming £1 9s 2,d, value of £y greatcoat which lie failed to return with the rest of his equipment. Sergt,.-Major Byan said that last July defendant Avas drafted to the reserve and returned all his gear except the greatcoat. He Avas written to tAvice Avithont response and the prosecution Avas then instituted. Since then the coat had been returned in good order,. Defendant Avas convicted and ordered to pay £1 costs. MOTOR BY-LAWS.
On the information of the Borough • Inspector (Mr Guinan) Stella Frances OtAvay Avas charged with cutting the corner at the Post Office Avhile driving a car. The Inspector stated that on December 24, Avben there Avas a great deal of traffic about defendant, driving at a fairly fast rate, turned from Oxford Street into Queen Street. She Avas 20 feet on the Avrong side of the road and did not sound her horn. A fine of 103 and costs 10a Avas imposed.
