SHANNON SCHOOL.

THE HEADMASTERSHIP. To fill, the vacant lieadmastership at the Shannon School caused by the appointment of Mr White to the Carterton District High School, Mr D. A. J. Rutherford, superintendent of schools at Apia, Samoa,' has been recommended. Mr Rutherford has been in Samoa since 1919, first as headmaster, and since 1923 in his present position. He is a native of Dunedin and Avent through the Dunedin Training College and Otago University.
