MAORILAND THEATRE.
"PAJAMAS." "Pajamas," Fox Films delightful comedy drama starring Olive Borden will be screened in Shannon on Wednesday. This is the story of a spoiled little rich girl who is cured of her high handed whims by a modern young man in an old fashioned way. In addition to doing some of the most realistic acting of her screen career, Miss Borden is called upon by the director to undergo a number of thrills which would do credit to the most skilful stunt workers in the business. She makes a hasty, unpremeditated flight in an airplane, leaving Long Island on the spur of the moment, and wearing nothing except thin silk pajamas . She lands px Canada, through the medium of a parachute, and is hemmed in by the Rockies. , Here she is forced to remain with Lawrence Gray many weeks. She thinks she hates him when they land near the glacier. In the end, love comes swiftly and they have little desire to be rescued. This is one of the smartest and best dressed pictures shown here. The comedy is hilarious at times but unforced.
FRIDAY'S FEATURE. On Friday a picture will be screened that has made film history in the larger centres. It is entitled "The Private Life of Helen of Troy."
