There was a small attendance at the links ojf Saturday afternoon, a bogey match being played and resulted as follows: McKenzie 5 up. Stephenson 2 down.^ Jones 6 down. Blackwood 7.down. King 8 down. Cronquest 8 down. Next Saturday, September Bth, the return match with the Manawatu elub will be played at Palmerston North. The following will represent the Shannon Club: Blyth, Goodwin, A. Saxon, Morgan, C. Stern, McKenzie, King, D. Saxon, Gagliardi, Jones (eapt.) Ab : bott, Blackwood, Cronquest. Luneh will be served at the Manawatu Club House at 12.15 p.m.
