MB HUTCHINGS ELECTED A MEMBER. OTHER RESULTS. WELLINGTON, This Day. ' The votes recorded at the Education Board election on July 18th were counted to-day, after having remained in the Returning Officer's possession the prescribed period. The result showed that Mr A. W. Hutchings, of Levin, has been elected as one of the representatives of the Hutt-Horowhenua ward, the other being Mr P. Robertson, who was elected two years ago. Mr Hutchings takes the place of Mr L. H. Atkins, of Manakau, who has retired. In the Hutt-Petone area, Mr J. Stonehouse was re-elected. In the Wairarapa area, Mr Alexander Donald, of Kopuaranga. had a substantial win, his opponents being the chairman of the Pahiatua School Committee and a former headmaster of the Masterton District High School. For ! ihe city, Messrs Nicholl? and Blake (fne latter until-' recently headmaster of -the Lyall Bay School) were returned, a sitting member in Mr Howe being defeated.
