At the meeting of the Horowhcnua (\.unty Council on Saturday, a letter was received from the secretary r' tie Levin Co-operative Dairy Company (Mr J. M. Parsons), stating that, at a meeting'of the directors on March Stir, the following resolution was passed: “That the Council’s attention be drawn to the very bad state, of the Kawiu road, and that the Company’s cream lorry lias broken three sets of springs on this road in the past, few weeks. The Council’s attention in expediting the repairing of this road would be appreeiatetd by the Company.” The Acting-Engineer (Mr Callendar) explained that the portion of the road referred to was just outside the Borough. The matter was referred to the Councillors for the riding and the Engineer to inquire into.
