VALVE PITTING
If the exhaust valves are found to require frequent attention, it usually results from the mixture being too weak or too rich or the exhaust gases are throttled. If the exhaust passages are badly choked the valve stem will most probably also become warped The head and stem should then : be set in a true lathe, or a new valve substituted.
