KE-TEANSFEBENCE QUESTION. Replying to a question put in the House of Representatives yesterday re garding the retransfcr of funds from the construction account to the revenue account of the Main Highways Board the Minister of Public Works (Hon. K S. Williams) stated that lesgislation would be included in the next Finance Bill empowering the Minister of Finance to restore the moneys transferred to the construction fund in such sums and at such times as he might decide after consultation with the Main Highways Board. Briefly, the understanding was that the moneys .should be restored as and when they were required by the Revenue Fund, but dates could only be fixed as requirements arose.
