The Club is in the fortunate position this veaf to show a fair credit bal ance, and the secretary, on behalf oi the club,', wishes to thank all those wlu so willingly helped with donations and otherwise to ensure the Club’s success, not only from a financial point of view, but so as to enable them to win the 1926-27 competition and thus hold the Hall Shield for the season. It has always been the policy of the Werarpa 'Club to encourage the young players, and last season the team included quite half the allotted eleven. Bull and Wallace were very successful with the bat; the.fielding of the boys was good, and even with young Roe as wicket keeper, the club under the management of the captain (Mr O’Connor) would always put up a creditable performance, and give those who follow the fortunes of the willow and stick a good afternoon’s enjoyment.
