GOLF NOTES.

MANAWATU V. SHANNON.

The- JSrst inter-club match to, be played here this season will take place on the local course on Saturday, when a team from Manawatu will try conclusions with one from our own club. Members selected are requested to be ready to play at 1-15 sharp or even earlier. It is not certain yet whether Manawatu will send ten or twelve play, crs. The following have been selected to represent Shannon: Goodwin, Murray, Saxon, Morgan, McKenzie, Gagliardi, Jones, Blackwood, Burgis, Johnston, and in the event of twelve being needed: C. Stern and one other. The order of play will be arranged later. The lady members of the club are kindly requested to provide afternoon tea.
