GOLF NOTES.

JUNE MEDAL MATCH. The medal match for June will be played next Saturday when it is hoped a-full attendance will compete. No doubt a few of the handicaps will lie altered and younger players thus given greater opportunities for scoring one of the coveted trophies.-'; This -medal match will be played under the now local rules and the attention of members is drawn particularly to that rule governing lifting a ball lying in tufts of grass, hoof-marks, depressions etc. Players will be paired qff/.at the Golf House for the medal "match on Saturday, when partners will be drawn for. The King's Birthday one-club competition proved a most .enjoyable affair. The winners were Mrs Caldwell and Mr. Gagliardi. Some; ;. of the players are of the opinion that it is much easier to play with one club than | with a bag-full; certainly one does not I feel so tired as when carrying half a hundredweight of iron goods.
