WEDDING BELLS.
SMALL—FOGARTY. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. John's Cathedral, Napier, last week, when the Very Rev. Dean Mayne united in the bonds of holy matrimony Annie, second daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Fogarty, of Invercargill, and Maurice, second son of Mr. and Mrs F. Small, of Shannon.
The bride, looking winsome as she entered the church on the arm of her uncle, Mr. C. Wilkinson, was daintily attired in a pretty frock of shell-pink georgette and silver lace, and wore a silk tulle veil embrodered in silver and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas. The bride was attended by Miss Marjorie Small, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Phyllis. McNatty. The former wore blue crepe de chene, trimmed with coffc-e-coloured lace, and hat to tone.
The second bridesmaid was in pink crepe de chene trimmed with pale pink lace ai\d hat to match. They both carried bouquets to tone, and wore gold armlets, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. Thomas Buist was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs J. O’Connor, George’s Drive. Later the hhppy couple left for Rotorua and Auckland where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride travelled in a • smart tailored costume and French model toque of claret charmeuse.
The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a pearl ring, and the bride’s present to the bridegroom a signet ring.
