During cross-examination the plaintiff in the case of C. J. Coulton v. J. Morris, a claim for grazing fees which was heard at the Stratford Magistrate’s. Court, admitted that lie had been known as “the Crown and Anchor King” in the Army. He had not come out of the Army worth a lot of money as a result of-gambling. He could not recollect .running a crown, and anchor, board at the Makahu sports three months ago. Counsel for plaintiff (Mr. King) remarked: “I don’t know the game of crown and anchor, but cannot it be run honestly?” Witness. “So far as I know it was run honestly in the Army and since then. ”
