GOLF NOTES.

As already notified the opening of the season for the Shannon Golf Club will take place to-morrow afternoon at 1.30 p.m. It is hoped that all players will make an effort to be present at that time so that there may be as little delay as possible in starting the competitions. All lady members are kindly Requested to assist in supplying refreshments. Older members of the Club are asked to see that new players get partners and are shown round the course. The form of play will be for jthe most part mixed foursomes, Canadian system, and prizes will be given for players returning best cards. ? The rules for ladder matches, the handicaps and positions on the ladders are now posted at the golf house.
