BOROUGH BOUNDARY ROADS.

KO PRESENT CONTROL. A verbal report was given to the Horowhenua County Council on Saturday by Cr. Catley, on behalf of a committee from the Council which met the Finance Committee of the Levin Boiough Council in regard to the maintenance of boundary roads between the borough and the county. He stated that after they had gone fully into the matter, it was decided that no action be taken at presem, The Boron;-;. i Council representatives raised points that were new to the deputation, and which seemed to be of some importance. It appeared that the Borough s water and gas mains crossed the rood, and the onus was thrown on the Borough of seeing that they-were kept ni repair. The County committee did not think they were warranted in going any further at present. The Borough representatives were against any change. . , , . On the motion of the chairman, it was resolved that the report of the committee on the' question of maintenance of Levin boundary roads be adopted.
