BOWLING AT SHANNON.

A rink consisting of H. Butt, Knowies and Roach (skip.) assisted by a substitute from Palmerston North, met the holders of the Takaro Cup on Y7ednesday afternoon, but were unsuccessful in their effort to wrest the trophy from the Palmerston Club. ; On Saturday a rink from .Shannon will visit Palmerston Club with a view to securing the Dixon Cup and Tucker Badges. Palmerston have now held these trophies for eight consecutive games. The rink chosen is H: Butt, Morgan, Whibley, Roach (skip.) The semi-final for the Singles Championship is now being played. E. Spencer *v. T. Moynihan each with no loss, meet, also Morgan and Jones with one loss each. Roach and Blaikie have played off, resulting in a win for the former.
