SHANNON PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the committee of the Shannon branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Council Chambers. Present: Mesdames Clifford-Jones (President), Butt, Crom quest, E. Spencer, Hudson, WaringTaylor and J. S. Spencer (secretary). The visiting ntrse (Nurse MacGillivrnv) reported o:i the work of the past mouth as follows: —Visits to Shannon 4, to homes 12, adult visitors to rooms 29, children visitors to rooms 27, total 56.
A vote of sympa hy was accorded Si* Pruby Kina- and Mr. nud Mrs. MqCuliock," in their recent bereavements. The motion being carried in silence. Mrs. .Tones reported that Nurse Norris had paid a visit to Shannon and from Monday next she will take over from Nur.-e McGillivray.
The President reported to the meeting that Nurse MaeGillivray had asked her to convey to the meeting her appreciation of the committee's kindness and consideration towards her during her work in the Shannon district and had expressed regret at leaving the district.
It was r;solvcd that from Monday next the veiling hours'at the rooms be from 9.30. a.m. to 4.15 p.m. The secretary reported that the membership fee of 5s for the ensuing year is now due.
