WEDDING.

PERFECT—MUDGWAY. On December 28th tjic wedding took place at St. -Mary’s Church, Levin, of Phyllis Myrtle, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Mudgway, of Cambridge Street, Levin, to William George, eldest fkm of Mr and Mrs S. Perfect, of Hastings. Rev. J. O. Davies performed the ceremony, and Miss S. Quarrie, of Shannon, was at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very dainty in a pretty gown of ivory brocaded crepe-de-chenc, with old Duchess silk lace trimmed with pearls and silver, and silver brocaded shoes io match. Her veil, the gift of her aunt, was beautifully embroidered and was held in place by the customary coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of St. Joseph’s lilies and asparagus fern. Attending the bride was her cousin, Miss Myrtle Mudgway, who was attired in a frock of figured cyclamen with a touch of gold, and cap to match. She carried a pretty bouquet of sweet peas, carnations and roses. Chlorine Picard, of Shannon, acted as flower girl, wearing a dress of blue crene de chene and carrying a silver basket of sweet peas. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Alf. Mudgway, of Porangahau, a cousin of the bride. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in St. Mary’s Hall, when the customary toast list was honoured. Later the happy couple left by motor car for the north, where the honeymoon will be spent, the bride wearing a brown om -piive Dock with hat to match.

The newly married couple were the ,'eeipients of a number of valuable and useful wedding gifts, inHuding several cheques. The bridesmaid and flowergirl each received from -lm bridegroom a siring of pearls.
