The admission will be 1/for gents, ladies to provide a basket for two. Ladies who do not. bring a basket will be charged %'6. The baskets will be numbered and then auctioned, the buyer to have supper with the lady who brought the basket. This in itself should cause a lot of amusement. There will be .a number of novelty dances and good music has been arranged for. Owing to the Fanners' Baby Committee having charge of the catering at the Athletic Club's Sports on Saturday, the day appointed for the closing of the Baby Carnival, which would thus make it difficult for thehi to get their results in the same evening, it was decided at a meeting of the general committee held last evening to make the closing day the following Tuesday evening, and that all money collected by the different committees be handed in to the scretary by 10 a.m. the following morning.. It was proposed to hold the crowning ceremony in the Maofiland 'Theatre on Wednesday afternoon, the member for the district, Mr J. Linklater, M.P., to be asked to perform the ceremony. . .Particulars of the form the'oeremony will take will be published in our next issue.
