.LEVIN TROUNCE WERAROA B. WERAROA A'S ONILY THREE RUNS BETTER THAN BARAiPARACJMU. On Saturday Levin played Weraroa B, and although the fartmer batted a'man short they walked home with the comiortatole difference of an innings and 4.7 runs. The match produced some good bowling averages, principal among which were Phillips (L.) 3 for 4, and Auckram (L.) 3 lor 7. There was an exciting finish, time being called just as Bennett clean-bOYvled Harding with the 7th ball of the last over, which gave Levin their three point win. Hall won the toss and sent Levin in to bat, with one man short. Wfith 3 wickets down for 124, there seemed every likelihood of a big total for Levin, but the remaining. wickets fell quickly for a further 47 runs. Weraroa B could only manage to hit up 76 and •were obliged to follow on. Levin were smart in the field, a couple of sudden returns -causing'--both Harding and Edlin theiir wickets. Langelan batted well for his. 21. With an hour to go, Weraroa B took their second strike, the last wicket falling just on time with an innings total of 48 runs. The. details are given 'below:—

WERAROA A V. PARAPARAUMU. Weraroa's A team returned from Paraparaumu on Saturday with a 3-rUn-niairg!in victory to .improve their position.. Both Thompson, of the home team, and O'Connor, Weraroa, batted very well, the former' including four 4's and three 6's in his score of 48* whilst the latter replied with three 4's and five 6's. Cateren's (paraparaumu) 29 and Sloan's (Weraroa) 34 were two.also very useful men. The best bowling averages were made by O'Connor 5 for 36, and Bull 2 for 30.
