PREVIOUS TOTAL EXCEEDED. At tlie beginning of the month the total number of names on the electoral rolls was 730,200, as against a total of 700,111 for the year 1922. It is expected that the figures this year will be fairly substantially increased by tap number of registrations effected between October Ist and October 15th, especially in view of the compulsory requirements of the Act passed this year.
