DO YOU WANT THIS LAW? Can you think of any other law in 'the whole history of legislation that has been soi universally ridiculed, despised, and broken as the ■Prohibition law. Why is it? Do you know of any other law that has brought about such an inflamed, acrimonious state of public mind as the Prohibition law? Why is it? Do you know of any other law for ihe attempted enforcement of which so much money has been appropriated, such huge machinery created, and such fantastic proposals made , (such as resorting to the army and navy) lo try and enforce it as the Prohibition law? Why is it? For this same law the professional Prohibitionists are seeking the votes of New Zealand electors. They would convert this Dominion into a penal institution. They would import vice, | crime and lawlessness—they would I bring 'New Zealand law into com- | tempt, and would bludgeon the people into submission. , It is YOU and YOUR country they are trifling with. 11 !
