GOLF NOTES.
CLOSING DAY NEXT SATURDAY. It has been decided to close the goif season, so far as the Shannon Club is concerned, next Saturday. The season has been a particularly successful and enjoyable one and it is hoped that as many players as possible will turn out and take part in the two events arranged (for (Saturday afternoon; as well, us joining in the very sociable gathering that is always characteristic of golfing functions in Shannon. The afternoon's sport will commence at 1 p.m. and the first por,on will consist ol two nail foursomes, and the second part of mixed foursomes. Afternoon tea as for inter,'iiib match days will come : between ibe two parts.
The following .foursomes have been drawn to play: Saxon and White and Morgan and Henry; Mackereth and Roach v.' Gagliardi and Massey; Seifert and Robinson v. Johnston and Burg is; Blackwood and Jones v. Weinke and \V. Murray; Spencer and Steed in an v. .1. R. Moody and W. unodwin; F. Murray and Bailie. Ladies' Foursomes will 'be drawn at the links on, Saturday. Mixed foursomes also drawn at the same time. Any of the. above not able to play are requested to notify the lion, secretary as soon as possible.
