HOROWHENUA EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE.

The annual meeting was held at the Levin D.H.S. on Saturday, August Ist, Mr F. H. Taylor, Makerua, jemg in the chair. The following -officers were elected for 1925-26; President, Mr D. Wilinot, Utaki; vice-presidents, Mr A. T. White, Shannon, and Mr F. H. Taylor, Makerua; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr IT. J. Jones, Levin; unofficial' member, Miss Black, Te Horo; delegate to annual conference, Mr 1 H. J. Jones.

In proposing a v-ote -of thanks to the retiring president, Mr R. J. Foss said that he could not let- the occasion pass without saying how. fortunate the Institute had been in having Mr Taylor as president. At the various functions which had taken place, notably the fare Well to Mr Bakewell mid the welcome tb Mr W. Bird, Mr Taylor had given a tone to the whole proceedings by his apt introductory remarks.

Mr H. J. Jones, in seconding the resolution, referred to the great help Mr Taylor had been in carrying on the work of the Institute.
