DETAILS OF LAST CENSUS. A report issued by the Government Statistician states that Berkshire and Yorkshire pigs (purebred) have increased since 1921 but a marked decrease is shown in the number of other purebred pigs. Crossbred pigs have increased by over 15 per cent The following table gives details of the enumerations at January 31, 1924 Purebred'Berkshire 84.835 101,179 Purebred Yorkshire 6,785 7,228 Other purebred pigs 6,349 3.838 Crossbred pigs .... 251,923 294,797 Totals 349.892 407,042
