FAT CATTLE EASIER. STORES IN. GOOD DEMAND. Good clearances were effected in an lines at the Levin weekly sale yesterday. There was'; a small yarding of sheep, but a good yarding of cattle including general lines. iQf big bullocks. Prices for sheep were mi a par with late rates. The quality oi the (beef yarded was not as good as tire previous week, and this was reflected in the price. Competition for grown cattle was good, and every line was cleared at an advance on late rates, one line of forward 5-year-old bullocks making £l3. Prices were as follow:
Four to 5-year ewes (good) 32s Gd; light fat wethers 37s 2d; woolly ewe lambs (small) 24s 8d; woolly lambs 275, cull lambs 13s 6d; 1-shear Rqmney rams 4J to sgns. Fat cows £5 tq £6 11s., lighter do. £4 6s to £4 15s. Forward cows.—£2 to £4, store cows 22s 6d to 455, cows with calves £3 17s to £4 17s 6d, potter bulls from £3 to £7 - Two-year Polled -Angus, steers. £6 vs 6d. Good condition 3 year Polled Angus steers £lO 15s, 18-monlJlis steers £3 Is to £3 17s 6d, tliree-year steers £7 10s and £7 12s 6d to £8 7s (Polled Angus). Forward 5-year bullocks £l3 Heifers (r.w.b.) £2los to £3 10s, weaker'heifers (good) 20s. to 32s 6d. P j gs_.—Weaners 10s. to £l, 3-months purebred sow £2 2s; porkers £2 10s to £2 15s.
