THE MANAWATU SEAT.
LABOUR CANDIDATE CHOSEN. At a meeting oi the Labour representation Qommittee held in Levin last night, nominations ioi; candidate iu contest the Munawatu electorate were considered, and Mr Benjamin Roberts, oi Carterton, was unanimously selected. Mr Roberts is. a dairy tanner_ residing some, distance outside Caiteiton, is chairman oi' tne local dairy iaotiory, a member of the Executive of the Dairy Farmers’ Union, aim cnairman oi the Wairarapa Councu ot the Union. He is said to be. an impressive speaker and well versed 111 the sciences of economics, and socio logy. Tth-e Labour election campaign is expected to open m tne Munawatu Electorate at an early date.
