LONDON WOOL SALES.
Dalgeiy and Go., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London House under date of the 3rd instant;—Wool sales closed fairly animated, competition irregular. English and German buyers are the principal operators. Belgian, American and French buyers are very reserved. 110,000 Bales offered, 74,000 bales sold Home trade took 37,800 'bales, Continent 35,200 bales, America 1000 bales, carried forward 53,000 bales of which 17,000 bales have not been offered. As compared with last sale’s closing rates, merino wools 3d to 4d lower. The decline in prices is more pronounced for merinos of inferior dualities. Halfbred wools and fine crossbred wools 2£d to 3£ lower. Medium crossbred wools 2d to* 3d lower, coarse crossbred wools lid to 2d lower, scoured crossbred wools 2Jd to id lower, coarse crossbred slipe llcl to 2d lower, lambs’ wool lid to 21 d lower.
