SHANNON v. MOUTOA.
The above teams me.t at Moutoa on J 1 Saturday when Shannon in their inn-i ings compiled a total of 222 runs,} a,gainst. Moutoa’s 65 runs, thus win-j ning by .158 runs. Hunt, batting for Shannon, was in great form, carrying his bat through the. innings. He registered the fine total Qf 127 runs, securing four sixes, and 13 tours, the balance of his score being mostly twos. His partnership' with Barbel', the last man, was responsible for 68 runs, the latter scoring 26 runs. The only other batsman to reach double ilgures was Doidge (16). For Moutoa Mason secured half their tally with 32 runs and with the exception oi Sutherland, who knocked up ten, the remainder of the team, gave a very poor batting exhibition. Hunt upset the Moutoa bowlers and towards the ■end of' innings they .began to tire and the bowling became ragged Johnson, bowling lor Shannon, was successful in securing five wickets for eight runs. Bowling analysis.—Douglas 3 wickets for 40 runs, Mason + 2 for €7, Sutherland 2 for 33, Ricketts 2 for 31.
