LONDON’S FAREWELL TO NEW GOVERNOR-GENERAL, (Received Thursday 8.30 p.m) LONDON, October 22. Sir Charles Fergusson. GovernorGeneral elect for New Zealand, arrives in London next week. Sir James Aljen is inviting ninety guests, mostly New Zealanders, toa banquet at the Hotel Cecil on October 31, Sir Charles Fergusson luncheons with the King on November 3. With the Colonial Institute on the 4th, the Australian-New Zealand Club on -the sth, and sails by the Ruahine on the Gtli. He is not taking his sons, but only his daughter Helen. Colonel and Mrs Hunter-Baillie are' accompanying Sir Charles to New Zealand. Priifatehi Colonel Hunter-Baillie;, is Lady Fergusson’3 uncle and Mrs lluntcr-Bailie is a sister of Sir Heaton Rhodes.
