A match was played on the Shannon liluks on Saturday between a| team from Otaki and local .players, the visitors, both ladies and, men, proving far too experienced*" for the home team. A peasant time was spent, afternoon tea toeing provided under picnicking conditions, widen ■proved thoroughly enjoyable. The course was in better condition than it has been at any time this year, thanks to the efforts of Mr Hayes.
