A REFEREEING GRIEVANCE.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—-Will you grant' me a little space in your paper to bring forward what I consider an injustice to one of the best referees in the Horowiieriua Un-ion, 3. Sciascia. This able and' active referee is regarded as one of the fairest men, ill the Union to control games -and lias always given every satisfaction to teams in. the north end. Why the Referees’ Association refuses to give him any games I am at a loss to know. It cannot he, sir, that there are a lot of referees superior to itfhis gentleman, as after 'setting • several in action this season 1 am convinced that Mr Sciascia is superior to many of those appointed. I trust the Referees’ Association, in fairness to public and players, will see their mistake and give this referee games for the remaifider of the season. —I ‘am, etc.,
