MOTOR COLLISION AT FOXTON.
OTAKI LADY INJURED. The. Mahawatu Herald reports that ,i collision took' place at Foxtail unWednesday 1 afternoon by which Mrs Bills, -of Otaki, was injured. A car occupied by Mr"'and Mrs Bills and Mr and Mrs Box, also of Otaki, was proceeding up Bussell street. Tlie occupants noticed an oncoming car. occupied by Mrs Martin Boyle of Himatangi, coining 'round* the bend of the main rouxl and slowed down to take tbe corner. At the same time tlie.- Wellington-Wan ganui car was proceeding towards . Mrs Boyle’s car front" Park Street, and her attention .was directed to this just- prior to taking the Russell Street corner, with Hhei result, that,,her car .collided with Mr : Bills’ car. The force. Of the impact threw Mrs Bills ,out of the car a.nd on to. the road add unseated the oilier occupants. Mr Box received a nasty gash on the nose, which was also - broken, , and Mr Bills and his 'son received minor cuts, the other ■occupant of the car, Mrs Box, being uninjured. - Tiie occupants oj Mrs Bojyle’s car were uninjured. Both cars wore. more, or less damaged, the Otaki one, which has since been brought to Levin. .having the side torn out.
Mrs Bills and Mr Box .were conveyed to Dr. Wyfile's, residence whore their injuries wore attended .to and they were subsequently conveyed to their hooves at Otaki.
Besides being badly shaken, Mrs Bills received a very bad bruise on the forehead, rupturing a vein, which may require a slight operation.
