BOXING.
TO-MORROW NIGHT.
A great deal of interest has been aroused' over the Shannon Boxing Association's tournament to be held in the Druids' Hall to-morrow evening and-it is anticipated that the Association is going to be greeted with a bumper house: as a most attractive programme will be staged. The bigprofessional bout of ten rounds for a purse of 100 sovs. will be the star event. . The contestants are Clinton (Palmerston North) and Brown (Taumarunur). Both these lads have recently joined the professional ranks and although they have met before as amateurs on two occasions, and Brown secured the verdict by a narrow margin, it will ibe no surprise if Clinton wins, as they are very evenly matched. Another big attraction will be the meeting of Walden and Grady. There is great speculation as to which is the superior. There will a lathe an amateur novice light-weigh, competition and other amateur bouts so that all who attend can be assured of a good evening's sport. The first bout is to. take place at 8.15 p.m.
